When we started Tier3MD in 2005, the though was to fix PC’s for medical practices. We could see the need for medical practices to have stable IT services if they had any thoughts of moving to an electronic health record. We then became known as an MSP – Managed Service Provider. Around 2009, 2010 more and more MSP’s started to pop up and many more tools became available to manage networks and computers remotely. Fast forward to 2021, we have added Managed Security Services. We are known as an MSP/MSSP. “This is just something that had to be done” says Sheryl Cherico, the CEO of Tier3MD. We not only have to keep our customers PC’s and servers running but we have to protect them from hacker and thieves.
Managed Security Services
Managed security services are not cheap, but they are necessary. There are additional costs to protecting your network and watching for intrusions. The decision a practice has to make is which costs more…a monthly subscription to security services, downtime, or a ransomware payment. Hopefully, the monthly subscription to security services are your best bet!
What Is Included in Managed Security Services?
Each package is custom made for the needs of your practice. Some tools are actually free and some are a small amount per workstation. It all depends on how many devices you need to protect and what you currently have in place. In my opinion, you can never have enough security!
