Have you been using any virtual meeting software? Zoom, go to meeting, or skype? In the technology business, we have been using virtual meeting software for years. I’m so glad that people are starting to accept this major convenience. Even I, at first, resisted it. I remember a couple of years back I had an applicant that said “can’t I do a Skype interview”? My first reaction was “what?? Are you kidding me?” Fast forward to Covid-19 2020 and it’s a whole new world.

Virtual Meeting Software

Zoom – Zoom is one of the leaders in virtual meeting software. You can hold meetings, do rooms and workspaces, video webinars, chats and more. Basic personal meetings are free and the Pro version is just $14.99 per month. Cheaper than gas right?

Skype – Skype is a great communications tool for free phone calls and chats. Being a user of it, I have watched it evolve over the years into a good viable tool for the workplace and an excellent virtual meeting software.

GoToMeeting – This is what we use at Tier3MD and Discovery Computers and Forensics. No other reason than this is what one of my employees likes so we all adapted to it. It allows us to collaborate with both customers and colleagues. The professional version is just $12.00 per month and it allows up to 150 participants. You can have unlimited meetings, webinars and more. This is really a great product.

Other Uses

Through the virus, I have had virtual dinners with friends, hosted virtual bingo and help numerous company happy hours. Virtual meeting software is awesome to keep up with out of town friends, colleagues and family members. We have had such a good time all getting together and playing games, chatting and just virutally being together. You need to try it!!!

Have fun!
