This email was sent to all the Tier3MD customers today. The Kaseya attack that happened this weekend is no joke. Some of our customers may not understand who Kaseya is or what they do, but they still need to be on high alert.

On Friday, July 2nd Kaseya, an IT solutions provider for Managed Service Providers was hit with a historic ransomware attack. Please note: Tier3MD is NOT a Kaseya VSA customer and has not been affected by this attack. We use a competing product.

With that said, the risk of cyberattacks and ransomware attacks is growing at a record setting pace. As your IT provider, I strongly suggest you contact us as soon as possible about putting various security measures in place. Please email Michael Brown to set up an appointment. We have a full stack of security software that we can add to your systems, depending on your need.

In the meantime, the best way to prevent attacks is to educate your users by showing them Phishing campaigns and HIPAA training. Please take cybersecurity seriously. We are working very hard to protect you, but we need your help as well.

The best prevention for ransomware attacks is to prepare for one. It may not be a matter of “if”, but a matter of “when”. Let’s stop this before it happens to us.

Thank you.

Tier3MD has never sent our a “scary” email but this Kaseya attack is no joke. It has spanned across the globe and we still do not have the full extent of the damage. I’m sure the fallout will follow.
