Hack Hack Hack. I can’t look at a newspaper, radio, TV show or internet article that does not mention a current cyber attack. It is getting way out of hand. They are not hacking Ring doorbells and talking to your kids. There’s a whole lot about that that makes me cringe. They are not actually hacking the doorbell, they are hacking your doorbell account. Who’s idea was this? I don’t really see the monetary gain from this so it has to be a twisted sick individual that wants to scare children and adults.
HACK HACK HACK
Now they are hacking gift cards. That’s right. You could end up ordering an expensive dinner that you plan on paying with a gift card only to find out at the end that your balance is zero. They have found a way to get into your cards and swipe you money, It is getting to a point now that it is becoming increasingly harder to protect yourself when it comes to being online.
I don’t know what the answer is except to educate yourself, your children and your staff. They really need to understand the seriousness of what is going on. Everyone should be using some sort of mutlifactor authentication. It’s an extra step and could be a pain, but not as big a pain as getting hacked!
