Have you been working from home during this unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic? If so, when will you have to go back to work? With schools starting back and some in-person, going back to work is probably the right choice. We have heard a lot of talk about how important it is for kids to go back to school but we never hear how important it is for adults to go back to work. As an adult myself, I am feeling like I need the structure. I am feeling out of sorts, disengaged, and stress due to not being in my office to run my business. I am very productive at home, but I think it is time to go back to work.

Back to Work

I have half my staff working in the office and the other half working from home. Seeing that we do IT support, it is very important to collaborate. We use email, phone and mostly Microsoft Teams. Without all that, we would be totally disconnected. My staff has done an outstanding job staying engaged, helping customers, and assisting with new projects. I can’t tell you how proud I am of them.

The biggest problem with going back to work is that we are in Atlanta, GA. Once you get used to having no commute, it is hard to get back into the daily challenges the Atlanta traffic brings. It is not easy getting around Atlanta during the morning and evening rush hours. I think if there was no difficult commute, more people in Atlanta would be back to work.

At some point, we just have to bite the bullet, wear out mask, wash our hands and go back to work. Are you ready?! See you at the office!
