Meet Sheryl Cherico! A National Speaker for Medical Associations

Sheryl has spoken nationally on HIPPA compliance, Cyber Security, Digital Forensics and Information Technology

Sheryl’s career began in 1979 and she is considered one of the top healthcare IT consultants in the country. She honed her career in WNY with medical billing and eventually moved into software support. In 1998, Sheryl moved to Georgia with the network division of Blue Cross & Blue Shield receiving the Presidents award for her Y2K upgrades.

By 2000, Sheryl was traveling across the country managing diagnostic reporting and specifically installing groundbreaking digital cardiac lab systems. Then in 2001, Sheryl became IT Director for the largest cardiology group in the Southeast US. And in 2005, Sheryl founded her own medical IT Company, Tier3MD.

Tier3MD manages IT support for the HealthCare industry. The company has grown to serve clients in 22 states with field offices in 5 states. The main office in Atlanta, Georgia staffs a Live Help Desk with 24/7 access.

To perform digital forensics, in 2018 Sheryl purchased Discovery Computers and Forensics to add to her portfolio of security tools. She felt it was imperative to be able to trace hacks, viruses and ransomware for client and to identify the origin of a breach, and to make sure the breach has been removed.

Sheryl’s blog: Health Care IT Girl (healthcareITgirl.com) gave rise to her second printed book sold on Amazon in 2018. She now owns 3 successful businesses and founded a medical networking group, the Atlanta Medical Consulting Group (www.atlmcg.com).
