Have you ever thought of marketing your medical practice? A lot of practices never think to market the practice. You want new patients don’t you? You want to grow don’t you? You want people to know your name don’t you? Well, the best way to do that is by marketing your medical practice. It’s very easy to do. Below are 10 tips to help you market your practice.

Marketing Your Medical Practice

  1.  How about Facebook? This is a great way to get to individual people instead of companies and business associates. You can post unlimited posts about your practice and even post some educational material that people are interested in.
  2.  Twitter – Have news you want to share quickly? New Doctor in the practice? Performing a new procedure? Twitter is perfect for this.
  3.  Blogs – I am a real proponent of education. Blogs not only improve your SEO but many people love to read information posted by the experts.
  4.  Public Speaking – Nothing is more impressive than watching a physician speak on a topic they are knowledgeable about. It not only helps you find patients but could also work in your favor for receiving referrals. If you speak publicly in front of your peers, they are happy to recommend to you as your speaking shows you as the expert.
  5. Testimonials – A good testimonial goes a long way. In the day and age of Google reviews, people are reading those more and more. They carry more weight more now than ever before. If you have a patient that says “I love you guys”, that should be your clue to ask them for a written or video testimonial that you can put on your website.
  6.  Have an Event. How about a workshop or a webinar? Education is always welcomed!
  7.  Send Birthday greetings. How personal is that! “My Doctor sent me a birthday card!” Sometimes its the little things!
  8.  Advertise – Radio, TV, Magazine, etc. Get your name out there any way you can.
  9.  Add more services – This is a great way to be able to send out information to all your patients to keep your on their radar.
  10. Say “Thank You”. When clients come in and pay their bills, give them a heartfelt thank you. After all, your in business and they are supporting your business.

If you look back at the 10 items I just posted, maybe one or two of them cost money. Marketing your medical practice does not have to be expensive. To get the best results you want to be consistent, but it doesn’t have to be expensive. You also don’t have to implement all 10 at one time, just try one a week or one a month. Give it a try. Unless you don’t want new patients! lol ;)
