Are you using Outlook in your office? How are you handling email? Years ago, it was one answer…Exchange. Well now Microsoft has made it much easier to handle email, but putting it in the cloud. Not only have they put email into the cloud, but they have put their entire office desktop suite into the cloud. They are now providing web-based versions of Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.

So how are you handling email? This may be the time to move your email to Microsoft Office, and into the cloud. The benefits far outweigh the cost, and the management of your email is next to nothing for the IT department. You would have anytime/anywhere access, easier file sharing, and more collaborative approaches to editing. Let’s not forget to mention how easy it is to use!

With Office365, or any cloud provider, security is always the first question that is asked. Many fear their personal information is less secure in the cloud, however very few data breaches have been linked to data stored in a cloud. In fact, the cloud offers a level of consistently updated security that many otherwise cannot afford. Not only does your email reside in a well secured state of the art data center, but data encryption and frequently updated antivirus and spam protection offer you great protection.

As for Microsoft, they do have a policy in place that states your data WILL NOT be scanned and given or sold to third parties. Upon request, Microsoft will provide detailed documentation on their privacy policy and security measures.
