If you haven’t already, you may want to book your security risk assessment for 2017. Each year, I get bombarded with calls late in December and unfortunately, I cannot accommodate practices that late in the year. I must do over 100 security risk assessments and I am thorough…very thorough and I want to make sure I have the time to get it all done. Believe it or not, I have gotten calls in January of the following year! lol

Book your security risk assessment

If you want to get on the schedule, call us today to book your security risk assessment. The calendar fills up quickly. If you are reporting for meaningful use, you know you will have to get this done. It’s not a very painful process but it does take a commitment on your part. You will need to set aside some time to run the scans, answer some questions, and do some follow up. I always say that even if you are not reporting for meaningful use, a security assessment should be performed as “best practices”.

Don’t be afraid

Do not be afraid to book your security risk assessment. It’s not going to hurt your job. The results only help your job! It will make your network stronger, and make you more aware of some of the security measures you need to put in place. Easy things, like locked doors and cabinets, password changes, better antivirus, etc. You won’t get punished for doing your security assessment. You will get punished for NOT doing your security assessment.

Tier3MD has been assisting practices with security assessments since 2009. They actually have become easier due to the changes in the tools that are provided. Safe to say we have streamlined it. If you need a security assessment, go ahead and book it. Do not wait until its too later. You may not be able to get on the calendar!
